"Built in 1863, the Oroville [California] Chinese Temple served as a place of worship for a community of 10,000 Chinese residents." The site contains a collection of historical photographs of the temple and Chinese community of Oroville, and images of cultural artifacts from the temple's collections, including shrines, religious figures, shoes, puppets, and chairs.
