Kidnaping of Juveniles: Patterns from NIBRS
This June 2000 report from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Protection (OJJDP) "describes the offense of kidnaping of juveniles." Among other significant findings, the analysis reveals that the majority are perpetrated by family members or acquaintances, and the fewest by strangers. The section "Implications" features a discussion about the distinction between the source data from the National Incident-Based Reporting System and that of earlier studies. Includes a bibliography.
